On Friday, the Puntland deputy information minister warned that the Somali government is becoming increasingly isolated.
Mr.Abdullahi Mohamed Salah told the reporters, that the Puntland government is evermore suspicious about the current Somali government led by Sheikh Sharif Ahmed.
Mr.Salah said, that Puntland was part of Somalia, and will continue to search for Federal governments in Somalia, which will unity all regions of the country.
However the minister explained the political tensions between Puntland administration and the Somali government was based more on the political ideology.
“….the current Somali government in Mogadishu is dominated by former opposition group … the men don’t believe in Federalism that is why they use the UNITY government name…” says Mr.Salah., the deputy information Minister of Puntland.
“….when they hear Federal, they believe it belongs to former President Abdullahi Yusuf or Ethiopia, the federal system is what all Somalis adopted after the Kenyan peace conference in 2004…and the Somali government’s charter is based on Federalism…” he added.
Mr.Salah said, he feared that Sheikh Sharif’s government did not understand the importance of better relationship with Puntland, saying Puntland regions are 1/3 of Somalia.

well, i think that the political tension between mogadisho and puntland adminstaration is not something easy and every body knows that puntland is part of somalia and therefore it is neccesary that puntland people to take a part their role about mogadisho situation
i can explan of somali. about law the follow rule. crime of somali people from area calns of this risk crime. other good way for people. best calm and think people do fight or don,t fight. have friends area caln see well not hurt people. if see area fight make hurt people or have people died. i make king help stop fight of somali area calns. want make money of somali lots. have learn how the make money. learn never fight or good died people. i wil make law and rule. problem well make broke king.
Puntland has a point,but Shariif’s group has no power anyway,so let’s wait and see the winnner it may take another 10 years or more before we see that winner of Banadirland and just hope someone who understands federation will be the winner,having said that none of the heavy weight players in Mogadisho believe Puntland let alone Federation,If you ask me who is the greatest risk to Puntland I pick Dahir Aways.
puntland cant face its challenge alone that is why they worry about somalia in every moment but the reality behinds that is clear somalia is a one nation and cant be seperated at all they are forced to think the future of the nation so that why they are repeating their fears from the word of UNIFIED GOVERNMENt. iam saying you let the sharif beliefs and do your regions for best/
