Hard line Aweys Travels Centeral Somalia

The leader of Hisbul-Islam militant group Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys had reached Somali’s central region of Galgudud, where a blooded fighting continuing in the last two days.

The fighting in Wabho of El-bur district was between Hisbul-Islam and Ahlusunna militias.

More than 60 people were reported to have been killed in that fingting.

Eye witnesses in Mahas district neighboring Wabho has told Horseed Media that Sheikh Aweys and Hassan Turki of al-Shabab have passed the city heading to El-Bur district, accompanying by heavy armed forces with battle wagons.

There are not more details about their arrival in the region. But conflicting reports are saying their aim is to wage a heavy war in the whole region.

Some reports Suggest that Sheikh Omar Iiman, Ex-leader of Hisbul-Islam was among the delegation led by Aways.

El-Bur is district has an airstrip where may be they can use to fly out.

Last month in Mogadishu, a war has erupted between fragile government forces and opposition fighters that claimed nearly 200 lives.

Somalia president Sharif Ahmed has vowed that his government will not negotiate with what he called “Violent groups”.
