Dutch terror suspects arrive in Holland

On Wednesday, four Dutch terror suspects captured by Kenyan forces near Somali border, were transferred to Holland. The Dutchmen are expected to face trail for Terrorism in the Netherlands.

Three Moroccans holding the Dutch passport, together with a Somali-Dutch man, all in their early twenties, were captured last week, while travelling to Somalia, to join Islamists groups fighting in Somalia, according to Dutch officials.

Last week Monday, the Kenyan police arrested the men, near town just miles from the Somali border. The men are accused of trying to join, the jihadist group, Al Shabaab Al Mujahidiin.

The four men were carrying, laptops, digital cameras and other electronic equipments. According to Kenyan officials, the men denied that they were going into Somalia, but stated that they were tourists in Kenya.

However the Kenyan government, says there are no tourist attractions in the region, were the men were apprehended, just miles from the heavily guarded Somali-Kenyan border.

Trail in Holland

Today, the Dutch government prosecutor, officially announced that the men will be put on trail in the Netherlands, as the four young men arrived from Belgium.

Dutch police have meanwhile searched the homes of the suspects, confiscating computers, documents and other materials.

Last week, the Kenyan government deported the four Dutch nationals, to Belgium, where they were held for days, before been transefered to Holland.
